*The PVC ID card is optional with the 8 Hour HAZWOPER Refresher course, and adds an additional $5.00 if selected at the time of enrollment. To do so, just select the course that is priced at $44.95. Adding this option later will cost an additional $10.00.
Connecticut does not have a federally approved occupational safety and health regulatory program for private sector workplaces in the state; therefore, private sector workplaces must comply with federal occupational safety and health standards.
The state has a federally approved occupational safety and health regulatory program for public sector (state and local government) workplaces, and has adopted by reference the federal rules for hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER) in general industry (31-46a-228 Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies).
The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) administers and enforces occupational safety and health requirements in private sector workplaces. The Connecticut Department of Labor/Division of Occupational Safety and Health (CONN-OSHA) administers and enforces occupational safety and health requirements in public sector workplaces.
