When you’re responsible for keeping a construction site safe and secure, you need every tool you can get. Our OSHA 30-Hour Outreach Training for Construction teaches you precisely what you need to know to build a culture of safety and reduce job-site accidents.

Additionally, you’ll receive a comprehensive overview of the policies, procedures, and best practices in OSHA’s 29 CFR 1926 standards for construction. The course also covers vital information about all the significant hazards found on a construction site.

For example, you’ll learn how to create and implement a safety and health program that addresses critical safety topics in the construction industry, such as stairways and ladders, confined spaces, hand and power tools, scaffolding, and explosives and blasting agents.

What Is OSHA 30 Certification?

OSHA does not certify workers, so there is no such thing as OSHA certification. However, OSHA does mandate that employers train their employees in the specific safety and health parts of their jobs.

The closest you can get to certification is OSHA Outreach training. When you pass an OSHA 30 test, you'll receive an official Department of Labor card.

Who Should Take OSHA 30 Construction Training?

This online course is for construction foremen, supervisors, and safety directors, or anyone who works in construction and requires additional training beyond the basics.

Course Objective

The OSHA 30 Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training course is a comprehensive safety program designed for anyone involved in the construction industry. Specifically devised for safety directors, foremen, and field supervisors; the program provides complete information on OSHA compliance issues. OSHA recommends Outreach Training Programs as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Construction workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on specific hazards of the job. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA 30-Hour Construction Outreach DOL course completion card within 2 weeks. The OSHA 30 Hour Construction Outreach course is NOT equivalent to the OSHA 510 or 511 courses and will not meet the course prerequisites to take the OSHA 500 or 501 courses.

How does taking OSHA Training online work?

All of our online OSHA training courses can be taken from the convenience of your home. Not only do our courses allow you to satisfy OSHA requirements from home, but they are also self-paced and can be completed whenever you wish within a year of your purchase.

What are the Rules for OSHA Training Online?

For OSHA 30 training programs, students must:

Spend at least 1,800 minutes or 30 hours in the course.
Only spend a maximum of 7 hours and 30 minutes in the course each day. 
Complete a survey evaluating the course upon completion. 
Pass all tests and the final exam with a score of at least 70% in three attempts or less. 
Only access the training within U.S. Jurisdiction.

How Long Does OSHA 30 Training Course Last?

After enrolling, your course is valid for 12 months, so you can access it any time during this period. However, after the first time you launch the course, OSHA rules state you must finish it, including the survey, within 6 months.

Additionally, if you fail all attempts at an OSHA test or the final exam, you will no longer be able to access the course.

I Finished the Course. When Will I Receive My Department of Labor (DOL) Card?

When you successfully complete the course and pass the final exam, you will receive a DOL card in the mail in 2 weeks.

How Do I Get Proof of Completion While I Am Waiting for My DOL Card?

Upon completion of the course, return to your "My Training" page and click the certificate icon. If you’ve completed the course requirements, you will be able to view and print your temporary OSHA 30 certificate of completion.

How Long is OSHA 30 training Good For?

There is no expiration date on the DOL card. However, due to frequent changes in OSHA regulations we recommend you renew your training every 3-4 years.

Additionally, some states or employers may have their own renewal requirements. For example, New York and Nevada require you to retake the course every five years.

Please check with your employer or state for additional requirements.

What Can I Do If I Lose My DOL Card?

You may request a replacement DOL card by contacting our Support Team at (877) 881-2235 or [email protected], or you can order a replacement card online. Please be aware there is a fee for replacing a card.

What If I Need a Refund for My Training Course?

If for some reason you are not happy and would like a refund, send us a request within 72 hours of purchase. Here are the eligibility requirements you must meet:

Your purchase was made no more than 72 hours prior to your refund request.
You have NOT:
- Attempted any portion of a test or exam.
- Requested or been issued a certificate of completion.
- Completed 50% or more of the purchased course.

If you meet all of these criteria, submit your refund request in writing via email to [email protected] with a proof-of-purchase receipt and an explanation for why you are requesting a refund.

How Do I earn CEUs (Continuing Education Units)?

You must complete and pass the course curriculum successfully before CEUs can be earned.

What is the course completion criteria to earn CEUs?

You must spend the required time in the course curriculum before the course can be completed.
You must validate your identity throughout the learning event to successfully pass the course.
Pass all quizzes and the final exam with a score of at least 70% in three attempts or less before a certificate of completion can be issued and CEUs can be awarded.
